Our founder's direct experience of supporting a Finance team in-sourcing led him to a realisation: these people were the real heroes. Sure, driving sales was critical, but it became clear that the success of any organisation depended upon the quality of their Accounting and Finance professionals.

Machine Learning Engineer | Innovative Health Tech Startup | 6-Month Contract Role
We are excited to partner with a dynamic and forward-thinking Health-Tech startup seeking an experienced and results-driven Machine Learning Engineer for a 6-month contract. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by developing cutting-edge ML solutions during a pivotal growth phase for the company.

This innovative startup is disrupting the Health Tech space by leveraging advanced machine learning to drive business transformation. They’ve gained traction with high-profile clients and secured a substantial funding round of £22m. With a strong focus on collaboration and creativity, they are poised to scale rapidly.
Operating from a vibrant co-working space in Shoreditch, the company embraces a hybrid working model that aims to work around any and all employee needs!


The Role
As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and deploying ML models that power their core products and services. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will deliver scalable solutions while ensuring best practices in model performance, reliability, and ethical AI implementation.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a proven track record in deploying machine learning models in production environments.


Key Responsibilities
Develop and deploy machine learning models to solve complex business problems.
Optimize existing ML pipelines for performance and scalability.
Collaborate with data engineers to ensure seamless integration of models into production systems.
Conduct research and experimentation with new ML methodologies and frameworks.
Ensure compliance with data governance and ethical AI standards.
Monitor model performance and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
Share expertise and mentor junior team members.


Essential Skills
Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in production.
Strong programming skills in Python, including experience with ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
Solid understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) for ML deployment.


Preferred Skills
Experience working in a startup or scale-up environment.
Knowledge of deep learning techniques and NLP.
Familiarity with MLOps principles and tools like MLflow or Kubeflow.
Background in deploying ML solutions within SaaS platforms.


Contract Details
Day Rate: £300-£500 per day (outside IR35)
Location: Shoreditch, London (Hybrid/Remote)
Duration: 6 months with the possibility of extension
