Data Engineer (University Grad)
Job Description
Are you passionate about product, analytics and technology? The Data Engineering team is looking for fast-moving analytics candidates and data junkies who want to make an impact. Our data engineering team works very closely with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Operations, to figure out ways to support our customers when they need help - all of this using massive amounts of data. Data Engineer (University Grad) Responsibilities:

Architect, implement and deploy new data models and data processes in production
Perform data analysis to generate business insights
Interface with Engineers, Product Managers and Product Analysts to understand product goals and data needs
Build data expertise and own data quality for allocated areas of ownership
Manage data warehouse plans for a product or a group of products
Support critical data processes running in production

Minimum Qualifications:

Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
Knowledge of SQL
Programming knowledge in Python
Knowledge of database systems

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience thriving in a fast-paced work environment

Job Description

Technical Program Manager, WhatsApp Responsibilities:

Identify problems that require solving. Build out and evangelize a compelling long-term technical vision to achieve business success.
Scope problems with a cross-organizational view and translate complex technical details into simple-to-understand communications, while also serving as the golden thread across teams to drive alignment and create cohesion.
Define the technical program or platform strategy, and build a plan with technical dependencies and balance trade-offs to deliver desired outcomes
Drive end-to-end execution and delivery of technical programs from ideation, technical and data analysis, system design, development, testing, and implementation and post-implementation
Drive cross-organization dependencies and alignment, collaborate on success-metrics, and communicate program status with stakeholders to ensure progress on goals
Drive adoption of technologies, often across disparate components of the product and/or infrastructure technical stack, while thinking through how to take current technology to the next level in effective and efficient ways
Look ahead to identify risks and issues in advance where possible, and proactively Investigate, analyze, work hands-on, and partner with cross-functions to mitigate and solve those

Minimum Qualifications:

B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
Experience delivering tech programs or products from inception to delivery.
Knowledge of user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope.
Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership.
Communication experience and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.
Organizational, coordination and multi-tasking experience.
Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems.
Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with developing Trust, Safety, Integrity, Legal, or Regulatory technology solutions
Experience in building or managing system software components for messaging systems or cloud infrastructure in a large scale environment
Experience with disambiguating technical complexities and cross-functional collaboration into execution plans and operating models

Job Description

Design Program Manager, WhatsApp Responsibilities:

Identify and drive large product initiatives forward that have multiple stakeholders, competing deadlines and many moving parts - Roadmapping & Design Planning
Prioritize, assess tradeoffs, propose clear solutions and communicate strategically
Define and manage strategic initiatives that improve product team efficiency and impact
Own and facilitate meetings to drive progress against goals and objectives and establish clear next steps and owners, while resolving blocks that impede progress
Proactively assess risk, raise flags and resolve issues before they become problems for larger teams

Experience leading product or business strategy in a time-sensitive environment
Experience using data to identify problems and communicate solutions
Experience managing time-critical projects through to completion while balancing evolving priorities and a wide-range of stakeholders
