Fortress Safety is a rapidly growing organisation, headquartered in Wolverhampton, UK. Due to our ambitious growth plans, we are on the lookout for an experienced and ambitious Junior Software Engineer.
As Junior Software Engineer at Fortress Safety you will be supporting the existing Software Engineer by taking on the maintenance and improvement of our existing suite of tools that are used both internally within the business, and by our customers and channel partners. These tools interface to the various eCommerce platforms in use and enable the configuration and selection of products prior to sale and manufacture.
You will have to opportunity to:
Maintain existing software-based customer tools
Develop, test, release enhancements to existing customer tools
Assist the technical support team with customer queries
Essential Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
Experience and knowledge of C# and Winforms
Experience of HTML and Web development
Desirable Requirements
Knowledge of SQL databases
Awareness of Scrum, Azure DevOps
Experience of version control (Git / Team Foundation Version Control)

As a Software Engineer with Fortress Safety, you will be working on a variety of applications including tools used during the selection, sales and manufacture of our products, our industrial access control solution, along with some exciting new projects intended to enhance the growth of our exciting and growing business.
You will have to opportunity to:
Design, develop, test and release new software applications
Maintain, support and enhance existing software applications
Assist the technical support team with customer queries
Essential Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
Experience and knowledge of C#, Winforms and ASP.NET Core
Knowledge of SQL server databases
A broad range of software development skills, ideally including some mobile application development.
Desirable Requirements
