Job Title: Techn./Install. - Server infrastructure (JR) linux general and datacenter ops Location: Brussels, Belgium Duration: 6 months+ extensions Context: The task of the junior Techn Install - Server infrastructure linux general and datacenter ops is to set up and maintain a number of systems that are used by the client. This includes day-to-day management of the existing systems (follow-up of backup and monitoring, resolution of incidents,...) but also design and implementation of major changes, new systems or removal of old systems. The focus for this position is strongly on linux system management and data center operations in an enterprise environment. Data center operations here means planning, executing and documenting the (dis)assembly of server, storage and network equipment and their patching, in your own data centers. The standard workplace for this position is the LV office in Brussels, but relocations to the LV data centers located in Aalst, Antwerp and Ghent should not be a problem. The Techn./Install. - Server infrastructure will work within the LUNS team of IT exploitation. This is a team that is responsible for managing all Linux systems, all network equipment and all storage equipment of LV. Knowledge and experience with linux server management is by far the most important for this position, but knowledge, experience or interest in enterprise network and storage management is also seen as a plus.
