Leading communications client is now searching for a Senior FPGA Engineer to assist in the development of their innovative product portfolio.
This role will develop, test and integrate new features and updates to FPGA implementations.
Responsibilities:
FPGA implementation from internally generated design or external documentation.
Support and improve existing Embedded microblaze firmware applications.
Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of FPGA design processes and practices.
Provide supply chain and client services with engineering support.
Design, test and qualify products.
Construct clear documentation to support the integration, verification, configuration and use of FPGA features.
Key Requirements:
Excellent communication skills and team player who is highly collaborative.
Xilinx Microchip experience (Ideally Xilinx Microblaze)
Strong experience with VHDL (project specification, development, testing and Scripting)
FPGA firmware programming skills using VHDL/HDL in a high-speed logic environment. (+4 years)
Strong Embedded firmware skills.
Previous experience with Real Time applications running under Linux or Windows.
Desirable: Previous experience with Digital Modulation techniques, GNSS or Singal processing.
This role provides a base salary of up to £60,000 plus excellent benefits.
In terms of working structure, this role is flexible with occasional days in their Paignton office.
