Junior IT Analyst (Security)
London | Inside IR35 | Long-Term | Role for the Future!
An excellent opportunity for an aspiring IT professional with an interest in CyberSecurity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment. As a Junior IT Analyst, you will assist in maintaining security standards, supporting IT security operations, and contributing to Cybersecurity best practices. This role is ideal for someone keen to develop their skills in IT security while learning from experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in monitoring and maintaining security tools such as Firewalls, anti-virus software, and intrusion detection systems.
Support the IT team in identifying and responding to security alerts and incidents.
Assist with reviewing security logs and reports to help detect potential threats.
Help implement security updates and patches across IT systems.
Support the IT team in investigating security breaches and incidents.
Assist in documenting and reporting security events to senior team members.
Work with colleagues to help resolve security-related issues reported to the IT Service Desk.
Learn about and apply cybersecurity best practices to enhance IT security.
Assist in updating security policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Participate in security awareness activities, helping to educate staff on cybersecurity risks.
Some exposure to security tools or IT support is a plus (eg, Anti-Virus software, Firewalls, or basic troubleshooting experience).
An understanding of ITIL practices or security frameworks is beneficial but not essential.
Any relevant coursework or certifications (eg, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Security Fundamentals) is a bonus.
