Machine Learning Engineer / Data Scientist – AI for DeFi
Remote-based anywhere in the UK (ideally London)
50,000 - £70,000 DOE + Stock Options

I’m working with a cutting-edge DeFi client developing an AI-powered yield farming system that leverages machine learning and reinforcement learning to optimise stablecoin returns. They are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer / Data Scientist to design, implement, and deploy AI-driven strategies for real-time decision-making, risk management, and yield optimisation in the decentralised finance space.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop AI models for yield farming strategies and risk assessment.
Build data pipelines to collect and process DeFi data (APY, liquidity, gas prices).
Create backtesting tools to validate strategies using historical data.
Deploy and optimize ML models for real-time decision-making in blockchain environments.
Collaborate with engineers to integrate AI/ML into the system.
What You Need:
Experience in machine learning & reinforcement learning (RLlib, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
Strong Python & TypeScript skills (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
Understanding of DeFi protocols (Aave, Curve, Convex) and blockchain data.
Familiarity with web3.py or ethers.js for blockchain interactions.
Fluency in English & Mandarin is highly desirable.
Nice to Have:
Knowledge of yield farming & cryptoeconomics.
Experience with privacy-preserving ML (zk-SNARKs, federated learning).
Smart contract development in Solidity or Rust.
