Location:Primary Location London, Secondary Location Sheffield. 3 days Office 2 days Remote
Rate:up to £531.26 p/d Umbrella inside IR35
Role purpose/summary
Our client is looking for a Systems Engineer who is proficient in Scripting languages and has a comprehensive experience of Building Playbooks, Ansible, VMWare, and backup systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining test environments, as well as ensuring robust backup solutions.
Key Skills/requirements
Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for automating configuration management and deployment processes.
Build and manage test environments to ensure thorough testing of software applications.
Script using languages such as Perl, Python, or similar to automate tasks and integrate systems.
Understand and implement backup strategies to safeguard data and ensure business continuity.
Administer VMWare environments, leveraging programmatic control for efficiency and scalability.
Collaborate with development teams to optimize tool usage and improve development workflows.
Must-Have Qualifications:
Proficiency in Scripting languages like Perl and Python.
Strong experience with Ansible for playbook creation and execution.
Knowledge of VMWare and its programmatic control features.
Experience in building and maintaining test environments.
Understanding of backup systems and strategies.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and architectural documents.
