We're Hiring: Senior Cyber Security Engineer (Cloud & Network Security) - Edinburgh - Perm
We're looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join our team and play a key role in shaping our security landscape. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have experience in cloud and network security, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
What you'll be doing:
Developing, implementing, and enforcing security policies, standards, and procedures
Leading the design, review, and implementation of new security systems while maintaining existing solutions
Acting as the security lead in architecture reviews, ensuring new applications meet security best practices
Supporting security operations, including incident response, forensic analysis, and threat detection
Scripting and automating security processes (SIEM, EDR/XDR, WAF, IDS/IPS, AD, SOAR)
Providing mentorship and fostering a security-first culture within the team
Staying ahead of emerging threats and continuously improving security controls
What we’re looking for:
Strong understanding of cybersecurity methodologies, tools & technologies (NG Firewall, IAM, DLP, SASE, etc.)
Experience in cloud security (Azure preferred) and vulnerability management
Hands-on experience with incident response, root cause analysis, and threat hunting
Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (CIS, NIST, OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK)
Ability to work under pressure, solve problems, and manage multiple priorities
Relevant security certifications (CEH, OSCP, CISSP, CISM, CCSP) are a plus
