My client, a household name in finance, is searching for a GCP Lead Java Developer to join a dynamic team working on cutting-edge applications. This is an exciting opportunity to work on enterprise-level projects, leveraging the latest technologies in Java, Spring Boot, and API development.
Location: 3 days on-site in Edinburgh, rest remote
Rate: £460 per day
Contract: 3months +
Inside IR35
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and optimise Java-based applications using Spring Boot
Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices for scalable solutions
Ensure code quality, security, and best practices are followed
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a fast-paced environment
Work with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tools (preferred)
Key Skills & Experience:
Strong commercial experience in Java (Java 8+)
Expertise in Spring Boot & Microservices architecture
API Development & Integration (RESTful, SOAP, GraphQL, etc.)
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Automation expertise
Basic knowledge of React
