We are seeking a skilled Python Developer to join a dynamic team that is focused on providing enhancements and support for a modern and evolving software distribution platform. This platform is replacing a global file system and is critical for the stability and growth of the firm's technology infrastructure. The system supports thousands of developers and production applications daily, making it a vital component of our operations.
Role is based in Glasgow - 2 days a week in the office.
What Will You Be Doing?
Develop, test, and implement technical requirements using Python.
Participate in the design of future software changes and improvements.
Enhance and maintain supporting tools.
Work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback and refine solutions.
Document changes effectively to ensure clear communication across teams.
Key Skills & Experience:
Proven experience working with Python in a development capacity.
Solid understanding of Unix/Linux environments.
Strong skills with MongoDB queries and operations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of DevOps principles.
Familiarity with JFrog Artifactory.
Understanding and hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
