I am recruiting a fantastic newly created role for a long established international manufacturing organisation based in West Yorkshire. My client require a hands on Infrastructure Manager who will play a key role in the delivery of crucial infrastructure as the organisation invests heavily into their IT estate. The role will initially see you managing 2 Infrastructure Engineers with the scope to grow the team (previous line management experience is not essential)
This role will cover all infrastructure at each of their West Yorkshire based sites, working in partnership with global colleagues, there will be requirements for overseas travel at times. Key Responsibilities
Manage and lead the IT Infrastructure team, providing direction, support, and guidance, via a positive and collaborative work environment, promote professional development, and ensure the team's skills are up-to-date.
Ensure the smooth functioning of the Company's IT infrastructure, including networks, Servers, databases, and software systems. Implement best practices for IT operations, security, and disaster recovery.
Implement IT security policies and protocols to protect the Company's data and systems from cyber threats and breaches. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Encourage a culture of innovation within the IT Team and throughout the Company. Seek opportunities to leverage technology to drive business growth and efficiency.
Support IT governance frameworks and policies to ensure effective decision-making, accountability, and alignment with business goals.
Required Skills/Experience
Proven track record in a Infrastructure Manager or Senior Infrastructure Engineer role. This role requires a fully hands on approach so you will have remained technically hands on in recent roles.
Any experience of team management or mentoring would be beneficial but not essential.
Broad technical background in IT infrastructure including networking, server and cloud.
Experience of working on full life cycle infrastructure projects from initial planning through to build/deployment and post go live support.
UK driving license.
