Software Security Engineer

Salary: £250-300k Package
Location: London (Hybrid working – 3 days in office per week)


I’m currently working with one of the fastest growing and most established Crypto Trading and Market-Making firms worldwide, who are looking for their first Cloud Security Engineering hire in the UK.

Reporting into the CISO but sitting within the Cloud Infrastructure team, this is a pivotal role acting as the bridge in ensuring all tooling and products have security and privacy built in through code at the development stage.

This is genuinely an incredible opportunity to shape how security is built within one of the most resolute crypto trading firms worldwide, which has the backing of some of the most prestigious financial institutions.


Responsibilities
Design and implement secure, scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure.
Automate security controls and processes using scripting and programming languages.
Work closely with Development teams to ensure secure software development lifecycle and mitigate security risks.
Promote a security focused culture across the organization


Requirements
Significant experience working as a Cloud Security Engineer in DevSecOps environments
Thorough knowledge of AWS and implementing AWS Well Architected Security pillar
Experience building security tooling using open source technologies
Strong proficiency in coding/scripting/development languages – Python, Terraform, Java ideally
Experience working in fast-paced, top tier financial / crypto institutions highly desirable.
