At Valcon, we are driven by technology and innovation, helping clients transform their businesses through cutting-edge solutions. Our Technology Practice is expanding, and we are looking for a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer who has worked in a technology consultancy previously with a strong focus on build and development rather than infrastructure. While our infrastructure is well-established, we need someone who can enhance development workflows, optimise CI/CD pipelines, and drive best practices in DevOps automation. If you have hands-on experience migrating to Azure DevOps and can demonstrate the value it brings, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to optimise the software development lifecycle.
Work closely with development teams to streamline build and deployment processes.
Migrate and optimise legacy build systems to Azure DevOps.
Automate and improve release management, version control, and testing workflows.
Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of build environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve development efficiency and DevOps best practices.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers.

Required Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (including CI/CD pipelines, release management, and automation tools).
Expertise in SQL and experience working with database deployments in a DevOps environment.
Experience with TFS (Team Foundation Server) and its migration to Azure DevOps.
Proven experience in automating software development and deployment processes.
Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
Understanding of Git workflows and experience managing repositories.
Experience with containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
