THE ROLE
Ancient + Brave is seeking a meticulous, detail-oriented Senior Nutrition + Customer Support Assistant to support our Head of Nutrition. In this role, you will play an essential part in maintaining our nutrition data, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting our expanding global footprint. Amongst other projects, you’ll be responsible for organising and maintaining product information, checking for accuracy on the website and packaging, and building a scientific database of ingredient research.
This is a critical role in our mission to deliver transparency and scientific integrity across our products, and requires a great deal of focus and precision in this administrative capacity. You’ll be the one making sure all nutritional data and documentation is in top shape, playing a vital back-end role in product launches and updates.
Within this role you will also work alongside the customer support team on a daily basis. This will involve providing expert nutritional advice, assisting and responding to customer enquiries, and supporting our mission to deliver high-quality, evidence-based wellness products. You’ll work closely with our team to ensure customers receive clear, accurate, and helpful information about our supplements, aligning with our commitment to holistic health and sustainable practices.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Administrative Support: Maintain, organise and streamline our nutrition data, documents and product information. Ensure all mandatory information is accurate and easily accessible for each product.
+ Website Nutrition Checks: Regularly review the website to verify that all nutritional information, ingredients, and labels are up-to-date, compliant and accurate
+ Global Expansion Support: Work closely with the Head of Nutrition and assist in ensuring all nutritional data and compliance details meet international standards as we expand into new regions.
+ Packaging Compliance: Collaborate with the Head of Nutrition to review packaging ready for print with mandatory labelling, compliance information, and any print changes needed for various markets. Support the wider team with compliance queries and training.
+ Ingredient Research: Continue to build our comprehensive scientific database for our ingredients, collating relevant studies and benefits for easy reference.
+ Event & UGC Support: Occasionally assist with user-generated content, nutrition events, and other brand activities as needed.
+ Nutrition insight for Customer Support team: Support the Customer Support team and keep email templates for nutrition, health and wellness queries up to date.
+ Customer Inquiries: Communicate in a timely manner directly with customers via email regarding any nutritional questions.
WHO YOU ARE
To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills / knowledge / experience:
+ Attention to Detail: Precision is key in this role. You’ll need to catch inconsistencies and ensure our information is always accurate and compliant. This role involves handling regulatory data and product specifics.
+ Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently on tasks, seeing each through to completion with diligence.
+ Nutrition Knowledge: A background in nutrition or related field is preferred, with an understanding of nutritional labelling, dietary requirements, and global compliance needs.
+ Strong Organisational Skills: Experience with organising and maintaining documentation for quick and easy access by the team.
+ Team Collaboration: Although primarily working on backend tasks, you’ll collaborate closely with the Head of Nutrition and other team members on key initiatives.
+ Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with Google Drive, Excel, and ideally experience with content management systems.
Further, to truly thrive at Ancient + Brave you will need to embody the spirit of our brand and align with our company culture. You are:
+ Highly self-motivated with an ability to take initiative and run with it.
+ Solution focused with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, a strong work ethic and a growth mindset.
+ Exceptional communicator, able to convey information clearly and concisely.
+ Entrepreneurial and commercially minded.
+ Able and willing to work in fast paced scale-up environments that are often full of ambiguity - an ability to effectively prioritise will be key.
+ Passionate about doing greater good and the future we’re building - we expect our team to be supporting our B-Corp and ESG goals while being proactive and mindful in suggesting ideas for the business to improve its practices.
